From November 27 to 28, 2021, the 11th Shenzhen Lawyers Congress was successfully held in the Party School of Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, attended by more than 260 lawyers. Yu Xinguo, member of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Xiao Shengfang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangdong Lawyers Industry and President of the Guangdong Lawyers Association, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Jiang Xilin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Justice, presided over the opening ceremony. Lawyer Wang Yongjing, director of Shengdian Institute, and lawyer Hu Ningcan, deputy director, attended the conference as a lawyer's representative.

In his speech, Yu Xinguo fully affirmed the positive contributions made by the majority of lawyers in our city to promote economic and social development, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the people, safeguard the correct implementation of the law, and safeguard social fairness and justice. In particular, since the outbreak of the epidemic, the city's lawyer industry has actively carried out the "war epidemic law" action, to help prevent epidemics and resume production in accordance with the law, in order to resolve conflicts and disputes, promote the city's governance in accordance with the law to make outstanding contributions. He put forward expectations for the construction and development of the lawyer industry in the new era. First, he must stress politics, further improve political quality, and be a socialist rule of law worker with Chinese characteristics who is of one heart and one mind with the party; second, he must dare to take responsibility and guarantee with high-quality legal services. Major development strategies, promote high-efficiency social governance, protect people's high quality lives, and do their best to serve the overall situation of economic and social development; third, continuously improve the reputation of the Shenzhen lawyer brand and the influence of the industry; fourth, we must improve quality, seize opportunities, and continuously improve the level of regularized, professional, and professional talent cultivation, and strive to build a high-quality lawyer team in the new era. The conference passed important documents such as the "Work Report of the Tenth Council of Shenzhen Lawyers Association" and "Work Report of the Sixth Board of Supervisors of Shenzhen Lawyers Association. At the meeting, 35 members of the new board of directors and 11 members of the board of supervisors were elected by on-site voting. Lawyer Hu NingKe of Shengdian Institute was elected vice president.

Jiang Xilin spoke at the closing ceremony and congratulated the successful convening of the conference. He pointed out that this year is an important historical juncture for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party. Under the background that the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the party has just been successfully held, the convening of this conference is of great significance to promote the work of lawyers in the city and carry forward the past. It is hoped that the newly elected team of the Law Association will guard against arrogance and rashness and unite the vast number of lawyers to show new responsibilities and new deeds in the new journey of building a demonstration city under the rule of law.
